BETE has developed a new design for fluidized bed air distributor nozzles. Fluidized bed nozzles are commonly used in Waste-to-Energy, or waste incineration, boilers that use fluidized bed technology.

The current design targets waste incineration plants that use fluidized bed technology, although this technology could easily be extended to fluidized bed coal power plants. We are offering solutions to supply nozzles for new installations and retrofits.

Features of the fluidized bed nozzle design:

• Prevents particle buildup in plenum 2 ways: orifices point downwards, and long narrow orifices are too small for most material to get through
• Deflected plate air flow prevents buildup on the bottom of the bed
• Easy installation with bolt-on tips; allows for quick replacement during turnaround
• Cast product offers a quality low cost solution
• Can be supplied for new installations and retrofits
• Patent pending
• Custom flows available

We are currently looking for users and OEMs of fluidized beds with whom to partner in the final refinement and validation of the design. We are also looking for feedback from fluidized nozzle users, to be able to best address their major concerns.
